Checkatalent
A Ruby on Rails product for booking entertainers.
For the last 3 months, I've been working on a website called Checkatalent. It's a website that allows people to search and book a performer for their event.
It includes a nice Admin area, a Backstage area (for the performers to manage their profile and bookings) and the customer site (for finding and booking performers).
For this project, I've been working with Fluent, an excellent web company based in Cambridge. Fluent did the design and copywriting for the site, as well as project managing it. I did all the web development using Ruby on Rails web framework.
There are still loads of great ideas about where we can go and still plenty of work to be done, but it's an excellent first step.
Sadly, the site has been taken down at the request of the client.
